PIERRE MASSOT
Founder of ARENAIRE, Pierre has been advising and defending companies, public bodies and designers for 20 years, helping them to protect their intellectual property.
He regularly advises leading names in the fashion, luxury goods, design and architecture sectors. He also has considerable expertise in the pharmaceutical and automotive industries.
Pierre Massot is a member of the Board of Directors and the Bureau of the Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles (APRAM). He was Chairman of APRAM’s Designs Committee for 6 years and is currently a member of INTA‘s Design Committee and co-Chairman of APEB‘s Employee Inventions Committee.
From 2019 to 2022, Pierre Massot was an auditor at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as part of the SQAP project to improve the quality of decisions taken by the European office.
He is co-author of the book Le Droit du Design and co-editor of the Dessins & Modèles column in the Revue Propriétés Intellectuelles of the Institut de Recherche en Propriété Intellectuelle (IRPI) at Université Paris 2. He is the author of numerous publications, including the Oxford Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice.
Pierre teaches intellectual property law at the IRPI, the Centre d’Etudes Internationales de la Propriété Intellectuelle de l’Université de Strasbourg (CEIPI) and the renowned Masters in Intellectual Property at the Universities of Lyon 2, Lille and Paris Cité.
